Storage Management

This week I have been learning and practicing storage management with LVM.

I learned how to create, edit, and delete different partitions, physical volumes (PV), volume groups (VG), and logical volumes (LV). I also gained an understanding of the logic behind them and their various use cases.

I reviewed and deepened my knowledge regarding automatic mounts using /etc/fstab + UUID, as well as NFS mounts, which were topics I already knew.

Finally, I also looked into autofs, a service that allows for on-demand automatic mounting.
